BITE THE HAND THAT BLEEDS
Here is the future. FEAR FACTORY releases a Maxi single with a DVD as in video. Remember when your CD’s were enhanced? It seems that the DVD’s are the way to go. The track
Bite The Hand That Bleeds comes from what I would say is one of the top five metal albums of this year
Archetype. It is also a track that shows up in the movie
Saw. You get the song and the morbid video. What was nice was the video for “Cyberwaste”. Basically the guys in Perth Australia with a bunch of headbangers watching them make this performance video. “Archetype” is the main video they released to the MTV’s and the such. It is more narrative telling more of a story. They follow with a cool animated version of the same song for the Japanese Galerians: Rion animated film soundtrack. Then the more performance video follows for yet the same song. In the end you find yourself watching “Bite The Hand That Bleeds” video complete with cool visuals and bits of the movie saw sewn in the mix. They view this companion to Archetype as a documentation of the songs from that crushing record translated into video. Listen to the record over and over again, you see that it is a great album that you shouldn’t end the year without. This Maxi single comes with a page of liner notes and a Fear Factory poster. Put down that pussy music you listen to and come to where the real heavy is! I think they were showing that the bands visuals got better over the years. Some nice and clear cinematography is presented.
