This was a pretty interesting release, considering it came only 2 weeks after the last release, which was eMOTIVE. This is a double disc set, one is a DVD and the other is a remix CD. Let me first say that the DVD is incredible. The DVD has videos for all the songs that MTV refuses to show you, it contains 16 videos. The first 9 are on their own, including the contest winner for the contest they ran where fans could submit videos for the song “Blue.” The others are trailers for the Bikini Bandits, the 3 runners up for the “Blue” contest, and the director’s cut of “The Outsider” video. The only difference between the directors cut of that video and the edited one, is that in the director’s cut they don’t blur out the girls ass when she moons the camera and they don’t blur out her middle fingers, otherwise, it’s no different. Overall the DVD is really awesome, especially with the bonus features and the commentary – which allows you to listen to Maynard explain each song. Finally, some insight into how these things were written>

The disappointing part was the remix CD. I’m not much of a fan of remixes in the first place, and some of these were just downright horrible. Some of them I had heard before on movie soundtracks, and some of them were totally new to me, but most of them sucked. To me, a remix is a complete waste of time, how often do you want to hear the REAL version of your favorite song, and how many times do you want to hear BITS and PIECES of your favorite song, played over an altered backing track. Not many, right? Exactly. They’re interesting works of art for what they are, but I don’t ever find myself reaching for a remix when I go to pop a CD into my player. I would take away quite a few stars for wasting my time and money on these remixes, but the DVD part of the set was better than I had imaged and almost makes up for the horrible remixes.
