WWIII (WORLD WAR III)

Ok, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out when this album was recorded. Just in case you really are retarded, I’ll give you a hint, it was the year that came between 2002 and 2004. Still stumped? Sorry, I can’t help you, I’m just here to talk about the music.

When I first got this CD I popped it in and went directly to my favorite KMFDM song, “A Drug Against War,” the quality disappointed me at first, and I was ready to bash them and label them as a terrible live band. Now that I’ve listened to the rest of the CD, I have to admit, I was wrong. I’m not totally familiar with all of their music, so I can’t compare most of these songs to their studio recording versions, but from what I hear on this live CD, they’re not bad. Their sound has that eerie industrial/techno/metal thing going on, we’ll call it “industrimetalno.” Why? Why not? For fun, that’s why!

I wanted very much to bash this CD for quality, but as it turns out it’s not as bad as I thought. The first time I listened to it, it was through a computer CD player, which normally makes no difference, but for some reason, when I put it into my CD walkman it sounds a lot better. I can’t recommend the CD to you based on the track listing because I honestly don’t know enough about these guys to do that. What I will tell you though is that if you are a fan of this stuff, you won’t be disappointed.
