This specially customized Skyfi offers you the very best sound quality that XM Satellite Radio has to offer through its built-in Toslink Digital Optical Output. Using an optical interconnect cable (purchased separately) plug this in to your home stereo receiver for an amazing improvement in sound quality. Take a look at the graph below showing this improvement. The Toslink Digital Optical connector is flush mounted and allows the Skyfi to be used in the boombox, car and home kits without any compatibility issues.
Also included in this Skyfi is a special IC circuit that automatically senses when power is supplied to the unit and turns it on in a few seconds. The power-on has a 4 second delay to make sure the unit powers on every time you start your car. The unit will also auto power-on in the home cradle, and boombox. No need to press the power button anymore, unless you want to turn it off.
