HALFORD - LIVE INSURRECTION
Well, the self-proclaimed Metal God has returned... with a live album. A DOUBLE live album at that. Now, I'm not knocking this lates offering from Halford, who, after trying for several years to re-establish himself in the rock world, finally strikes a nerve when returning to his metal roots... But the release of a live disc after only one release seems a little... desperate. You know, it's like he's saying 'I might not get another shot at this, so here's a live disc while you all still know my name'.
It's a solid release, from new material from the RESURRECTION disc, as well as a smattering of JUDAS PRIEST material to a duet with IRON MAIDEN's Bruce DICKINSON on 'The One you Love To Hate'... this double-disc set offers up some decent fist-in-the-air metal.
Not an essential item, but for Priest fans, or people that caught Halford on the road this past year with Iron Maiden and Queensryche, Live Insurrection makes a nice souvenir.
