REALITY SUCKS
I have to hand it to the guys at the
BaggONuts comedy group, who wrote and produced
Reality Sucks. Not only did they deliver a whole pile of these DVDs to us, but the ALSO gave us a bunch of huge cookies as added incentive. Sooooo, three weeks after the fact, I finally have enough time to sit with this fucking DVD and review it.
I've made no small point of saying how much I loathe plots in porno films. I understand that plot-driven porn appeals to a female crowd, but the last time I checked, I didn't have a vagina...so ix-nay on the plot.
Reality Sucks doesn't really have a plot, but more a general comedy vibe to it. There's goofy characters, silly scenarios, and strange costumes. It ALSO has an audio commentary track reminiscent of
Mystery Science Theater 3000 (imagine if you're sitting with your buddies watching this video, tooling on it; that's the commentary)....and in my opinion, it's more interesting than the grunting and groaning that's going on in the video - but that's just me. I'm jaded...
Despite all the wise-ass commentary, the
BaggONuts guys put together a very good-looking cast, including our pal
Alana Evans,
Charmane, who has a real Catwoman look to her (Eartha kitt version, not Halle Berry), and
Michelle Michaels, who gets bent over a couch and takes it like a real champ.
As far as 'skits' or 'plots' go, here's an example: 'Beer Factor' (a takeoff on 'Fear Factor' -- I can't wait until Endemol USA comes after them for copyright infringement...do I sound bitter?), involving a poor schlub who wakes up next to this bloated mess in a purple wig, and is challenged to drink six pints of beer, and assemple a VCR before the timer runs out....if he loses, he's got to mount the beast. It's not Shakespeare, but combined with the added commentary, it's more enjoyable than your average wank-fest.
The commentary also draws attention to silly shit, like when veteran
Mickey G takes a dirty foot to the face courtesy of a chick half his age.
BaggONuts comedy group, who wrote and produced
Reality Sucks is a porno you could put on during a party with a bunch of yoru bonehead cronies, and not feel awkward about, because the guys who made it spend the whole time tooling on it...as will you.
