MUTTER
Angry German Evil Rock. Gotta love it. I swear, I have been waiting for this disc ever since the fist got turned onto RAMMSTEIN by my old bass player.
To be honest, I was not that turned on by their last disc, Sehnsucht, but with Mutter, RAMMSTEIN has incorporated some much more involved arrangements to augment their beat-the-shit-out-of-the-guy-next-to-you guitar/drums combo.
The second track 'Links 2 3 4' has single written all over it. Powerful, hooky...but unfortunatley sung in German. While it's a nice little gimmick, it's going to turn off the generally lazy American rock audience, who like to sing along... or at least try to... with their music.
I'm going to go pop this into my car CD player and run over a cat.
