ANAL ROMANCE 2
I have to be completely blunt here, and tell you that the words "Anal" and "Romance" seldom appear in the same location together, because they directly conflict with one another. So the title
Anal Romance 2 is a bit...if not a lot...of an oxymoron. There is nothing "Romantic" about the act of anal sex. It's a penetrative, sometimes painful act, that is commonly associated with more aggresive, uninhibited forms of lovemaking, and not generally associated with acts of "Romance". Flowers, candles, and soft music are generally a stark contrast to
butt plugs and
lubricant.
I'm going to give this a 4 out of 5 rating just for the snafu with the title, but the content in the
DVD EXTRAS section almost makes up for it entirely. You see, I have become more and more enthralled in the
DVD EXTRAS portions of these
Platinum X titles, and director
Steve Holmes really seems to create the most interesting mini-documentaries to accompany his videos. For instance, the
DVD EXTRAS in
Anal Romance 2 contain scenes in which the oddly captivating makeup girl is convinced that she'd do her job applying makeup to
Haley Paige more effectively if she were topless, and she obliges. There is also a scene in which the quite-buxom
Tiffany Mynx interrupts her own hair and makeup session to receive an oral exam courtesy of director Holmes, as well as perform her own tonsil massage on his organ with her hair still in curlers.
Shortly thereafter, we catch the lovely Tiffany slumped over a dining room chair, having her colon cleansed courtesy of
Manuel Ferrara's tongue. All of this is a bonus to accompany the always-exceptional erotic scenes that Holmes is known for.
If only the title wasn't so contradictory,
Anal Romance 2 would have received a perfect rating.
