THE IMBUING
When I first heard that Clown from SLIPKNOT signed GIZMACHI to his imprint, I thought that they might be really really good. I am a Slipknot fan, and I know most metal purists out there say they’re crap, but I don’t care what most metal purists think. I was hoping to get a hold of this CD and give it a few spins. When I got
The Imbuing I was really happy, I was very interested in what they might sound like. When I listened to the first few tracks, I was very unhappy. It sounded like a typical crappy hardcore band, and I hate hardcore, and crappy hardcore is even worse.
Patience pays off though. As I got a little deeper into the album it got easier to handle. Songs like “Romantic Devestation” and “Wearing Skin” really helped me accept this album more. They aren’t genius songs, but they aren’t as bad as the first few that I originally got my first impression from. These guys definitely gave it their best try, and I normally don’t give anyone points for trying, because trying can result in success or failure, it’s too indefinite. But these guys get points because I can hear the promise of better material in the future on this CD.
