What Became Of The Likely Lads
Who would have ever thought a punk band would fall apart as brilliantly
as The SEX PISTOLS did, but THE LIBERTINES have taken the title and it
doesn't look like they're going to give it up any time soon. After
collapsing under the weight of a heavy crown made of the jewels of Rock
Stardom overload (fame, hype, in-fighting, drugs and the self
destructive antics of former frontman Pete Dohrety) all that is left
are two amazing studio albums, wasted potential and an EP eerily titled
after a song recorded before the demise of the original line-up.
This seven son disc is a snapshot in time consisting of a
handful of live tracks that show the chops of these Brit rockers and a
few studio tracks produced by legendary member of The Clash, Mick
Jones. This is definitely a must have for any fan that doesn't already
have the bootlegs of this material and a primer for those who never
really got around to checking out this band.
