Now arriving from The Netherlands on track 666 is GOD DETHRONED with their latest release
The Lair of the White Worm.
This time around Henri Sattler and company do the bidding of our Dark
Lord and Savior with song that rip through your speakers like a buzz
saw through a shank bone.
The one thing that strikes me is that within the gutteral growling,
there is a strange melody that is held together with the band's
arpeggio of the Anti-Christ. It isn't so apparent on the title track or
“Loyal To The Crown Of God Dethroned,” but it is definitely present on
“Sigma Enigma” and “Rusty Nails”.
As Death Metal goes, God Dethroned definitely captured the “unholy
spirit” of the genre on this LP. So if you need something playing
playing during the dismemberment of that special someone... I highly
recommend
The Lair of the White Worm.
