I’ve had a good few listens to this record over the few weeks I’ve had
it and I’m happy. They bring their political thought thrash back all
coming in three different articles called “Twilight Of Civilization”
that is made up of three parts.
I’d assume we start at the end with the with “End Of The World”. It
brings the pain as we hear a pretty damned clean production that still
punches. The vocals still sound a bit Pro Pain like giving it more of
the hard-core overtones. As I listen along I am enjoying the great
shred that this band supplies. The guitar duo is definitely has the
earmarks of great thrash like Exodus. They can sound west coast and
east coast while bringing great soul into the game. “Chains Of
Humanity” a track that shows some greatness like that all the way
through. While they take it to an even higher level of melodies in the
vocals and again the frets are burning not to mention the backbone is
pulsing.
At the same time they seem like they are keeping it more true to the
basics that they have not forgotten. Every song has a great pounding
hook that eats up your brain. ”The Lonely Dead” throws more of that
hooking. The whole record is filled with the best that GOD FORBID has
to offer and has totally taken them to a new level of thrash a greatly
written music, lyrics and arrangements. I thought Animosity from
Sevendust was that bands turning point and this is God Forbids ace in
the hole. Other tracks are “Divinity”, “Welcome To The Apocalypse”, “To
The Fallen Hero” and more. Kick ass return kids.
