KINGS OF DAMNATION

Finally! I’ve been waiting so long to hear some of the stuff that didn’t make previous albums and there are two of them on here! This is pretty much a “Best-of” album put out by Spitfire Records, who Zakk was with for quite a long time. What you have on here is some of Zakk’s best material ever, from PRIDE AND GLORY, Book of Shadows, and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. I know and love every single one of these songs. It was originally rumored that more of these tracks would be rare or live versions but somewhere at the last minute Spitfire decided to change their minds. It was also rumored that it would be a double CD, that got changed as well.

This album is great, even though I already have all of these songs, it’s always cool when you can get a little of each album at one shot instead of having to make your own mix CDs. Besides, there are 2 unreleased tracks on here that deserved to see the light of day much sooner than they did.

“Doomsday Inc.” was taken from the 1919 Eternal recording sessions, which is obvious from the sound of the song, because you can hear screams similar to the intro of “Bleed for Me” in the beginning of the song. It’s rough and rugged, just like everything else on 1919 Eternal , and I really wish they would have included this on the final track listing for that album. The next previously unreleased track is called “SDMF,” some people know this to mean “Strength, Determination, Merciless Forever,” which is the way it is used in the song, but fans from way back know that originally it means “Society Dwelling Mother Fucker.” This song comes from The Blessed Hellride recording sessions. Zakk’s vocal patterns on this song actually remind me a little of Danzig. This song is a crunchy anthem for revenge, and it’s actually a little slower paced than I would have expected. I LOVE IT! The solo on here is piercing and fiery, and the final words echo in your skull forever. Strength, Determination, Merciless Forever!

If you’re a flag waving BLS fan there is no reason you shouldn’t have this in your CD collection. I don’t care if you already paid for all of these songs, the 2 unreleased tracks are more than worth it! I only hope that somewhere in the future some more of these rare tracks surface.

Go buy this now! No excuses!
