LIVE 1980 DVD
Here is one of those Dual Discs that has a live record on one side and
the live DVD on the other side. Even being a metalhead I surely know
who DEVO are. I can say I never went out and bought one of their
records they were a very viable eletronica artist when not many were
even coming close. They were weird, they were different and even some
of them went on to write music for cartoons like The Rugrats and many
more.
As many that were new wavers back then told stories of how great this
band was live and now you can see for yourself. This live CD and DVD is
jammed packed with song after song of the bands greatest 21 in all with
some spilt into others. The known tracks like “Whip It”, “(I Can’t Get
No) Satisfaction”, “Secret Agent Man” and “Girl You Want” are a few to
mention right off. It is funny that how simple the sound may have been
it still really stands up after all this time.
More songs like “Monglinoid”, “Devo Corporate Anthem”, “Planet Earth”,
“Come Back Jonee” are a few other songs to mention. It seems that the
live CD was record in Phoenix and the DVD came from The Band Of Love
M80 Concert otherwise known as Praying Hands & Shrivel Up. Buy this
release, have a party and have some fun.
