ROCKIN' THE JOINT
Recorded in early 2002 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas,
Rockin' The Joint
captures AEROSMITH at their best, which is live, in front of a more
intimate audience than the arena crowds they're used to. This disc
features 11 songs (track 1 is just a 22 second-long intro) from the
band's
Just Push Play
tour, and the chemistry between the members of Aerosmith is
ever-present. Tyler's voice is still holding up, especially during the
breakdown in "Same Old Song and Dance" and "I Don't Want To Miss A
Thing" (yeah, I know it's the
Armageddon theme, but it's still a good song).
Just when you think you're cant get anymore pissed at Aerosmith for
playing the Superbowl with Britney Spears, and combining their legacy
with flash-in-the-pan bubble-gum acts, they produce a collection like
Rockin' The Joint,
which proves they can still get back to basics and grind away at the
blues-based roots that made them the legendary band they are.
