old stoner rock ala Black Sabbath, Sleep and Goat Lord. I used to hate this stoner shit but I’ve really gotten into as of late. I’m sorry but I am a sucker for Sabbath riffs, the more blatant the thievery the better...and let me tell you if stealing Sabbath riffs was a crime these guys would get the fucking electric chair.
The liner notes are great. They’ve waived the lyrics for some great explanations
about the recordings and song structures.They even point out inspiration behind certain parts. I eat shit like this up. Blind Dog is really scoring points with me. I love a band who isn’t afraid to wear its influences on its sleeve but still manage to keep it fresh.
Being a guitar player, this stuff is real fun to listen to just because its so fun to
play. The cover art is a guy toking with vultures looming in the background. This CD is definitely recommended, check it out if you’re into stoner rock. I can see why people like to smoke those funny cigarettes when listening to this stuff.
