DON'T TREAD ON ME
311’s ninth album is more of what you expect from everyone’s favorite
Ska/Rock/Reggae/Hip-Hop band from Omaha, Nebraska. Crunchy guitar
riffs, rock steady reggae beats and super sweet harmonies to make the
girls swoon.
Don’t Tread On Me
has it’s moments that hit and miss. The title cut gives you the rock.
“Frolic Room” gives you the reggae and “Getting Through To Her” and
“Whisky And Wine” gives you the sweetness.
But sprinkled in between those keeps are a few tracks you might
want to throw back. The painfully sentimental “Speak Easy,” is a radio
single that is loved and adored by the ladies (and all of the guys who
can say that one song got them laid), but it’s about sailing the seas
of love with your soulmate. Come on guys!!! Don’t give Aaron Spelling a
song to put on a
Love Boat movie soundtrack!!!
