LIVE AT STARLAND BALLROOM IN SAYREVILLE, NJ
CHECK OUT PHOTOS FROM THE SHOW HERE
March 31 at the Starland Ballroom in NJ was a night full of rockin’
music. The show included ONE, WICKED WISDOM, NONPOINT, and SEVENDUST.
Right in the middle, though, was a moderately known band called
SOCIALBURN. If you have never heard of them, I suggest checking them
out. I had never seen them live before this night, and to be totally
honest, my knowledge of their music was incredibly limited, as I had
only recently heard of them. I am very glad that I found them when I
did though. This no frills band is exactly what you would expect from
an honest, hard working band,; 4 guys that get up on the stage every
night, put their heart and soul into their music, and couldn’t give a
damn what the critics have to say.
They started the show with a song called “Be A Man,” off of their latest release,
The Beauty of Letting Go.
They also played “Love Hate,” “Speak Now,” their current single “Cold
Night,” and “Touch The Sky.” They also played the songs “U” and “Down”
from Where You Are. “Love Hate” and “Cold Night” were probably the
strongest songs in their set, performance-wise, but I can tell you
there was not a dull moment watching them perform. These guys have that
rock sound with a little extra scratchiness. Some people might consider
it a grunge-type style, but to me, they are all pure rock. It wasn’t a
very long set, but they made a fan out of me right away, and I’m sure
they can make many more fans wherever they play. Best of luck to these
guys, I’m sure we’ll be seeing (or hearing) big things from them in the
near future.
