LIVE ON THE OTHER SIDE - DVD
Yay! The new KORN DVD has been released and I got a copy to review.
Live on the Other Side was recorded at the Hammerstein Ballroom to launch the band’s newest release,
See You on the Other Side and is filled with exactly what you should expect from a Korn show.
The band plays all of their hits while also showing some new work and
covering PINK FLOYD and METALLICA. While the stage show was great, I
found the bonus features of the album to be the best part. You get to
check out “Coming Undone” which is a single from See You on the Other
Side, a juke box, a feature of the band flying some of their fans and
US troops to New York on a private plane for the show, and a feature
showing you some of the crew that has been with Korn for many years.
I did have a single complaint from the DVD, however. I wish
that Korn would have played more than 3 tracks from their new disc, as
I feel it was their most innovative to date. There is nothing wrong
with playing the hits but most fans have seen these songs performed
before, especially if you own 2002’s Korn Live.
That said, this disc is spectacularly produced and does give
you a chance to watch Korn play their hits along with three great
tracks from S.Y.O.T.O.S. If you think that you don’t need this disc
because you’ve seen the band perform most of these songs before, think
again, you should at least pick it up for the bonus features.
Whether you’re an old Korn fan or someone just beginning to listen to them, you need to pick up a copy of
Live on the Other Side.
