Escapi Music offers up some older sounds with newer breathe. Here is a
DVD that I had sitting in the playlist for way too long. This has been
a long time coming.
This all opens with sinister sounds, sirens, lights and creepy metal
sounds. The Jason mask is on ICE and then the BC mayhem begins. Ice
introduces the band and then they unleashed more of metal, groove and
core. Right away I’m liking some of the camera angles that they used
bringing you right to the stage. “Killing Floor” thrashes up the place.
Ice uses banter like the fuck ups in LA and goes on to call out the
shitty rock bands from there. He goes into world affairs and Bill
Clinton. “On With The Body Count”. More of this live set goes on with
Ice confessing he likes being around and seeing the fans back. He also
talks about what the band has been through for what is over a decade.
Things like losing a drummer to Leukemia or to the bass player being
killer in South Central. They are working on a new BC record then they
lost a member D Rock. Erni and Ice is now the original core of BC left.
They aren’t gonna stop. OT on drums, Vincent Price…
D Rock wrote one of the newer songs called “Murder 4 Hire” that will be
on the new record out now. This DVD has a great live raw sound where
you hear it all. “KKK Bitch” is what Ice calls a love song. “Drive By”
is some sick sounds that surely influenced some bands way back. “There
Goes the Neighborhood” and “Copkiller” are definitely here. This is one
banging reunion DVD and maybe the fans will get that very long overdue
studio record soon. They give us a taste with a two song sample audio
disc that comes in this package.
