Virginia’s most exciting metal band, LAMB OF GOD, has had a whirlwind year thus far. They became widely popular in the metal world after
Ashes of the Wake, hit the road with Slayer for the
Unholy Alliance tour, and now they have released
Sacrament.
The band first gained notoriety as BURN THE PRIEST, a death metal band from Richmond, VA. Now they’ve toned down their lyrics just a tad to become widely regarded as the next big thing in metal and
Sacrament definitely helps continue the hype.
Eleven tracks are strong on this record, and there are only 11 tracks on it. My favorites are “Walk With Me in Hell,” “Redneck,” “Foot to the Throat,” and “Blacken the Cursed Sun”.
A phenomenal album from a phenomenal band, make sure you pick up a copy of Lamb of God’s
Sacrament.
