III: IN THE EYES OF FIRE
UNEARTH is back with a good metalcore effort in
III: In The Eyes of Fire, released on
Metal Blade. I have never been a champion of metalcore but I am a fan of Unearth and this album doesn’t disappoint. Having that said, it still isn’t a standout CD that you should go out of your way to pick up.
“This Glorious Nightmare” is the track to burn if you’re ready to crack some heads late at night. It was by far my favorite, but some others are good as well. This is one of those albums that you really have to listen to yourself to decide which songs you like so I’m not going to tell you what tracks are must listens, other than the one I just mentioned.
Overall, the album is average for a metal release and good for a metalcore release. It has a few good songs but it also weaker moments that take away from the album as a whole. I like Unearth, so I would recommend picking it up. However, if you don’t like Unearth already, it might not be for you.
