Live in Ireland 1993 DVD
Okay, so long story short: I sold my soul to the devil for fame and a record contract but didn't have the foresight to see that fame doesn't last long when nobody wants to hear music from a cow/bull abortion of a being. So now I'm stuck reviewing porn and music for a living. What shitty fucking existence. But I digress.
When I was told I was writing a review on "The Man in Black," I thought he was talking about Will Smith. Fresh Prince, Jada Pinkett screwin' motherfucker. Carlton should have killed that pompous asshole. Wait, what? Oh yeah...
Johnny Cash in Ireland...
While it was released in 2006, this concert was performed in 1993, when NIRVANA ruled the rock world, WHITNEY HOUSTON wasn't on crack, and MC HAMMER was still alive. The haircuts in this MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DVD are definitely signs of the time. Cash is on a stage in a setting that looks like it was made for Jerry Falwell.
Most of the songs on this are not performed by Cash and his band alone. There are lots of appearances from the Carter family and Kris Kristofferson. The best songs, in this cow's opinion, are the ones where the Man is by himself, pouring out his heart and not upbeat in the least, telling the world that he shot a man in Reno just to watch him die ("Folsom Prison Blues"). That is badass.
There is this one song called "A Boy Named Sue." Don't bitch to me, John. A name is but a name. But a cow with a cock...well, he's relegated to reviewing your DVD and NOT playing to a bunch of paying, drunken Irish people.
