THE BLACK FLAME
Finally! A band proves that retro, 80s-sounding metal can be done well during this day and age. This album features very melodic, harmonizing guitars and perfect vocals. WOLF has made a masterpiece with their latest Prosthetic release,
The Black Flame.
The album kicks off with my favorite song, “I Will Kill Again” and continues with catchy, old-skool style metal that will make fans of Icarus Witch, Queensryche, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest soil themselves. The other extremely high point on the album is “Demon,” but the entire disc deserves to be listened to. I can’t seem to get enough of this record.
WOLF is proudly waving the flag for traditional heavy metal and The Black Flame shows that this band is on top of their game. If you enjoy music in the realm of Mercyful Fate and Saxon, you need to check out WOLF!
