Catch Thirty
I might be a deformed cow slash bull slash piece of shit degenerate, but I do know when things are weird, and this, my friends, is weird. Luca Turilli, the lead guitarist of Rhapsody, brings us this album from his new project, Dreamquest.
It's technically 99 tracks, but none of them are over 35 seconds long. Clump them together, and you get 12 “songs.” The whole album is very operatic and eerie. The chick singer is fucking creepy, and gave me nightmares.
But nightmares and weirdness aside, Turilli puts together at least an intriguing bit of music. The song “Virus” is very powerful and electronic. If I had to MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pick a song to try and sell someone on this album with, that would be it. “Gothic Vision” is pretty hard-driving and provides a bit of balls to an otherwise tiny-nutted disc.
