That One Night - Live in Buenos Aires
Dave Mustaine and MEGADETH have always been known to put on a great live show. Add in thousands of screaming fans in the capital of Argentina and you have a recipe for the band’s latest DVD release,
That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires. The concert was filmed on October 9, 2005 at Obras Stadium in Buenos Aires. The DVD spans Megadeth’s legendary career and spotlights all of the bands hits. Image Entertainment was in charge of this release and they did a fantastic job.
This DVD is shot at incredible angles, including a rotating camera above the crowd, which makes for a fun concert recording. The sound is also done nicely causing you to feel like you are standing in the front row looking up at Mustaine.
The band tears through some of their most well known material and cuts away from the concert at times to show Mustaine and Glen Drover playing some of the songs on acoustic guitars with locals in front of the hotel the band was staying at. My favorite performances were “Blackmail the Universe,” “Tornado of Souls,” and “Symphony of Destruction”.
If you are a fan of Megadeth, That One Night is a must have DVD. Even if you haven’t listened to them, this disc is a good starting point due to the band putting on an amazing show AND playing all of their best stuff. The alternate version of “Symphony of Destruction” at the end of the DVD is absolutely amazing.
Make sure you pick up a copy of Megadeth’s
That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires as soon as it hits stores on March 6th.
