Midwest Pandemic
TWELVE TRIBES created a great new release with
Midwest Pandemic. It’s a punishing, yet melodic, assault on the ears from beginning to end. Metalcore is normally used as a negative term, but I happen to like the genre and Twelve Tribes represent it well. The album hit stores a short while ago through Ferret Music and you need to pick up a copy if you haven’t already.
Midwest Pandemic. features 11 tracks, but the finale is a nearly nine minute song that is broken into three separate parts. The first two tracks on the album, “National Amnesia” and “Muzzle Order” were my favorites along with the last track mentioned above. I like the combination of blasting drums and harsh vocals – the axe work is really good too.
Twelve Tribes have toured with superstar acts like LAMB OF GOD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SOULFLY, and MACHINE HEAD and
Midwest Pandemic. proves that this band deserves every big gig they get. The disc is very well produced and shows a lot of promise for a young metal band trying to make it big. Adam Jackson and Shane Shook should be very happy with their work on this album – they go above and beyond the call of duty.
If you like metalcore – or even if you don’t – Twelve Tribes’
Midwest Pandemic. is brutal enough to fill all of your musical needs. Pick up a copy. NOW!
