Cycle Repeats
LOST EDEN is a Japanese melodic death metal outfit who set to release their first full length release,
Cycle Repeats, through Candlelight USA. It is a chugging effort that features typical screaming vocals mixed with cleanly sung vocals at times – very reminiscent of IN FLAMES.
The album features ten good tracks, some songs are better than others but it’s a solid effort all the way through. My favorite tracks were “Squeeze,” “Equation 999,” and “Before Burning to Ashes” but I would recommend listening to the whole album yourself rather than just taking my recommendations. Lost Eden is that damn good!
Cycle Repeats is a great release and shows of Lost Eden as one of Japan’s best kept secrets. The band was formed in 2000 and will only get better as they get older. If you are a fan of IN FLAMES, SOILWORK, or TRIVIUM – I suggest checking these guys out!
