Parasite
Making PSYOPUS look like Nickelback, SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY is set to release their debut album, Parasite, on Ferret Music and I couldn’t be more excited. This music is unbelievable and unstoppable. The slow churns that quickly explode into insanity make this album a must have – not to mention the hilarious track titles.
The album starts with a five second build up on the first track that kicks into “Good Christians Don’t Get Jiggy Wit It ‘Til After Marriage”. Every track on the album is very frantic and punishing. My favorites are “Here, Take This Pill,” “How To Survive A Vicious Cock Fight,” “Man-Dude vs. Dude-Brah (Where’s the Party At?” and “Let’s Go Halvsies on a Bastard”. All of the songs are really short but perfect!
As you can tell, and as I pointed out at the beginning of this, See You Next Tuesday has a great sense of humor and picked amazing track titles for Parasite. Don’t think that the band is trying to find a gimmick to make the music sound better, however. This band is one of the best in the business today and the use of funny song titles actually heightens the experience – for me at least.
See You Next Tuesday is, probably, my favorite emerging act in metal today. It’s a breath of fresh air in a metalcore dominated world. If you have any sense, you will buy this record as soon as it hits stores in April.
