The Damned, The Shamed
Terror is a hardcore/metal band that formed in 2002. It consists of 5 members from California. Vocalist Scott Vogel, Guitarists Doug Weber and Martin Stewart, Bassist Jonathan Burke, and Drummer Nick Jett. The Damned, The Shamed is their fourth full length studio release. If I were to compare their sound to another band it would most definitely be Hatebreed. The come quick and strong. All of the songs on this album are less than three minutes long. And if you’re weren’t paying attention closely you would think you’re listening to one extended track when in actuality there’s thirteen. That’s not always a bad thing. They found a formula and they stick to it. The vocals are heavy, screaming, never swaying from that style. There are no Swedish melodic death metal harmonies here folks. This is tough guy hardcore. Listening to the songs give you the urge to stand up and start slam dancing in your living room. No matter what mood you’re in before putting the CD in, afterwards you’ll be fired up. I don’t really even feel the need to mention specific songs. Pick any. “Voice Of The Damned”, “Betrayer”, “Lost Our Minds”, “Crush What’s Weak”. I can’t recommend one because they’re all good. If you like Hatebreed or Sworn Enemy or that type of metal influenced hardcore music then Terror is the shit for you. The Damned, The Shamed is a strong effort from these guys and its sure to get you moving.
