GOD HATES US ALL

The new SLAYER starts with an erratic effected opener called "Darkness Of Christ". Next up, comes the track "Disciple". This is more of the world coming to a thrashing end. "God Send Death comes along and crushing Thy flesh! This is more in a traditional Slayer style for sure and does have synths. "New Faith" reaches newer heights for Slayer mayhem. This is the definite best noise filled newer gear Slayer that totally works. "Cast Down" serves up some cool and new fatter groove that creeps and grows even louder that when it started. The time changes and heaviness will show the newer kids in town, what heavy is. At this point, I am bowing to some of the new found beats they laid on us faithful.

"Threshold" is another that had some off-beat time changes and time signatures that kept it interesting. The drummer Paul Bostaph (ex- Forbidden) is laying down some seriously wicked Mosh pit drumming. At this point you will definitely note that the production is pretty raw and some of the treble levels are lethal. More on the production will come. Even more wicked drumming and riffing comes down on "Exile". The old with a bit of the new sound if you old Slayer fans know what I mean? You can definitely say they did give in to some of the newer technology, but its nowhere near overboard. The ending to that track is also pretty damned crushing!

I did also note that this record seemed to have a more , Hey! We jammed these puppies out" type feel to it. "Seven Faces" has one nice scream from hell with some knob twisting tricks. That song is another that seems to be like the more, I had too much coffee neurotic side about it. It definitely travels the road of dementia for sure. "Bloodline" can be found next. It is the track from the Dracula 2000 soundtrack. The track college radio latched onto while waiting the new poison from the underground monsters.

I also noted a more street level vibe about this record. "Deviance" has more weird effects that were definitely influenced by the producer Matt Hyde. Another note is that it was recorded in The Warehouse owned by the Canadian man Bryan Adam's. It was the Summer of 666 and not 69 while Slayer bashed this record out up north. With that all in tow, Slayer has come up with a more adventurous sound while staying oh so true.

"Warzone" is a more in your face crush and riff track that made me start to headband uncontrollably. "Here Comes The Pain" is a track that was first heard on the WCW CD that came out a moon ago. So some of you may already be way into those tracks already. The bay area thrash rules the last track "Payback"! This one has more of the Undisputed Attitude vibe to it for sure. You surely can still rely on a cool solid Slayer record. They still continue not to fail!
