REPLUGGED LIVE
TESLA was a band that was unfairly lumped in with the hair band genre. They weren't. Tesla was, and is, a great straight-ahead hard rock band, and that's proven when you see the crowds they draw. Shit, when I was working security in Boston in the mid 1990's - The peak of the grunge and alternative music invasion in the United States, Tesla was still selling out 2000-seat venues with very little promotion, and with just a greatest hits disc to support.
The original five members of Tesla are reunited after mildly successful stints in various solo projects, and they're playing just as well as they did fifteen years ago when "Signs" and "Love Song" were all over radio and MTV.
Jeff Keith's voice is remarkably well-maintained for someone who sucked down swill beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon...ugh) for most of his road-travelling career, and the dual guitar work of Tommy Skeoch and Frank Hannon is as deadly as it's ever been. This two disc set features all of their hits, and some other goodies.
