RETURN TO CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN
Wolfenstein 3D made mainstream press headlines in the early 1990s with high-tech graphics, fast gameplay, and over-the-top violence.
Wolf developer id Software followed up its success with the
Doom and
Quake series. Each game became less of a single-player adventure and more of a multiplayer sci-fi fragfest, culminating in the multiplayer-only
Quake III: Arena. Now, 10 years after the original game, Raven Software takes gamers on a single-player Nazi-blasting
Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein will use id's Quake III graphics engine to bring the gloomy castle and its evil denizens to life. You'll play as B.J. Blazkowicz, a covert Allied supersoldier with a massive chip on his shoulder and an Indiana Jones-sized hatred for Nazis, as he infiltrates and brings down the evil castle.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein promises to be a fun, irreverent, and very violent ride--a ride that's not for the kids or the faint of heart. We can't wait to pick up the chain gun and run through the castle once again.
