2001 LIVE

If you thought for one second that JOURNEY without Steve Perry wasn't Journey...think again. Jesus H. Jumped-up Christ, new vocalist Steve Augieri's voice is nearly an exact match of Perry's, only about 10 years younger. The show was taped in December 2000 in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand, I believe, and the band sounds better than ever. Jonathan Cain, Neal Schon, and Ross Valory are the backbone of the unit, while newcomers Deen Castronovo on drums and Augieri singing are substantial additions to what will hopefully continue to be another decade-long legacy of great music.

Songs include: Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), Ask the Lonely, guitar solo, Stone in Love, Higher Place, Send Her My Love, Lights, Who's Crying Now, piano solo, Open Arms, Fillmore Boogie, All the Way, Escape, La Raza Del Sol (intro), La Raza Del Sol, Wheel in the Sky, Be Good to Yourself, Any Way You Want It, Don't Stop Believin', Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', Faithfully
