Just a side note before Hammer goes into his review: In case you didn't know, LIT is one of those bands that struggled on the L.A. club scene for years as a hair rock band before changing their look and sound to fit into a current rock sound. Just surf around the web, especially on Metal Sludge, and you'll find several photos of A.J. Popoff in leather chaps, spiked bracelets, and big poofy, glam-metal hair. -Steve

Here they come again! Lit return stronger than before. I was one that had many different feelings about this bands last record. It seems that the guys went in a direction of in your face punk pop this time. I thought this was a much better way to go. On the other hand I think it is still rather commercial.

"The Last Time Again" definitely has some abrasive lyrics and crunch in the guitars. I find that much better. They sound like the Cars gone hard on that track. The melodies are working fine. For some reason I got a picture of a very commercial Bad Religion is where you could put this. "Lipstick and Bruises" has more hard hits and deeper lyrics. "Drop D" has a nice sludgier sound to it. A definite borrow from a metal realm. Why is Warrant coming to mind here. "She Comes" should also see more play by radio down the road.

I am happy they went for a harder sound this time around. They also don't forget the punkier roots they have. I liked it more than the last record but surely I'm not going gaga over it.
