I am one that has dabbled just a bit in ambient techno music. My taste is very limited. This definitely goes for the more bass and beat audience out there.
There are a few novelties about this band. They are two. One being the old Porno For Pyros guitars , Peter DiStefano and a film composer Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek and Spy Games). So prepare yourself for a record that can run a bit like a soundtrack to a Spy movie I'd say.
Songs like "Burn" do have some rap tendencies about them. This would have fared well on that old Techno MTV late show of days passed. Other notes are the likes of Peter Murphy shows up on "Idle Flow" and "We Dive". Flea comes to us on "Birth Of A Girl".
Get ready to trip for sure. They mixed your down beats and take it street in many areas and many real analog sounds sure mix in. "Hurricane" could turn out to do something for them on lighter radio. There is still plenty of electronica going on here.
