BOOTS
They're back! The kings of the industrial world have regrouped. As some of you may remember? These guys disbanded a few years ago. They came back with a self-titled record called MDFMK on the major label Universal. Many believed to be a screen for a more commercial record? It still was a good record.
Now we find it 2002 and KMFDM are poised and ready to strike (ATTAK)! Lucia Cifarelli (know for her lungs in the band Drill) is back with those velvet vocals and a pure orgasmic passion. This single holds three versions of the Nancy Sinatra classic "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'" done the KMFDM way.
This first thing I do note here is the more power behind it all. It again is industrial but crosses over into dance beats that are really awesome. Nobody sounds like this. The Candy Remix version of the song goes further down a techno and jungle beat road. I love the beat on this one. It proves how great one band can manipulate a song to sound so different. "Back In the U.S.S.A." is a new track that won't be on the record. It takes us back to a more UAIQUE era with all the reggae sounds flowing. It does proceed to load up and spew industrial discharge and gets loud and in your face. Very killer track. You won't mistake the KMFDM riffs are back to boot. Hide your NIN records.
The single hits today 2-5-02 and the new record, ATTAK is in stores April 19th. More on that one soon. KMFDM is back, bow to the warriors!
