Here is a band on the new record company Artist Direct. Here we have a man that is out of the New York area. What kind of music is it. It isn't metal, rap, industrial. What is this? Rock? A bit of all I would say. "Beat Me" does have rap like sides in the vocal approach. The music is more beat like. It is more for a commercial generation? You do hear a guitar flare up here and there.

"Hey Mister" is the single that is pretty damned funny as is the video. If this track doesn't hit, I'll be very surprised if it doesn't. Definitely a more Sugar Ray fanbase would dig this band. Watch for the token heavy part. I'm still trying to figure out if that is an authentic English accent from a guy that looks oriental? Does any of that matter anyway? Not really. I'm just trying to figure this guy out. This tends to go over the boarder of my musical taste but some people might need a playful artist like this today. "Mess" is definitely a track that is playful in the music and possibly serious in the lyrics. "Morning Spank" is also another with funny lyrics. It treads in the metal area then goes right back to the acoustics and that is what you'll hear plenty of, acoustics. That has to be a drum machine?

"One Day" seems to be a confession of the main man of Custom. Hear a hidden cool track. It is a very stripped down record for the most part. Lot's of cursing going on here kiddies. Be aware of that. Many of the younger generation may dig the more contemporary sounds. Think of mellow and very kicked back or down most of the time. I think this record is a lot darker than it gives off. To just dismiss it as Pop, would be very wrong. It has those pop elements, but it borrows from many different area's and amalgamates it all to sound a bit different and accessible. Again not my usual but it had some good moments and good acoustics are a plus. There are few good tracks here. More of the punkier and guitar sides are needed more. Check out this weirder brand of alternative.
