If you have never seen MEGADETH live in concert (and you're not going to now that Dave broke the band up), and you're wondering if the band could ever duplicate their amazing chops in a live situation, the answer is definitively...YES. Note for note, beat for beat, and growl for growl, Dave Mustaine, Dave Ellefson, Al Pitrelli, and Jimmy DeGrasso nail each song with the precision of a sniper. One thing Dave has always been a stickler for is the minute details of a song, so if you hear a song on a record one way, then that's how you'll hear it on Rude Awakening, the band's new release via Sanctuary records...and incidentally, their LAST release until (or if) Dave's wrist ever heals.
Rude Awakening is two discs filled with tracks from the band's 20 year history, ranging from songs like "Wake up Dead" to "Holy Wars" to "Angry Again" to "Dread and the Fugitive Mind".
This is without a doubt, one of the tightest live performances you will EVER hear on a CD...thankfully, with less crowd noise than your average heavy metal shriekfest.
