ALICE IN CHAINS meets PANTERA. Shit, it worked for them, I suppose it'll work for Jersey's own SIXTY MILES DOWN, who fucking sound just like them.
Now, don't get me wrong, I really like PANTERA and ALICE IN CHAINS, so it stands to reason that I would like 60MD (fuck it, I'm not typing 'Sixty Miles Down' seventeen more times), right? Well, I have to admit, it sounds pretty cool. The riffs are there, the harmonies are cool. The production on this sampler disc they sent us is really fucking solid, so I'm having a hard time taking shots...However, Justin is sitting on my right, and if anyone has anything bad to say, I'm sure it'll be him.
It's decent, but as Justin is saying, they should be called "The Ultimate Alice In Chains Tribute Band", because they're borrowing heavily from the late Layne Staler and Co...borrowing so much, in fact, that they might set the alarms off when they leave the AIC house.
Shit, borrowing from AIC worked for GODSMACK. It'll work for these guys. Hey Roadrunner, heads up.
