AMALGAMUT
Much to the chagrin of FILTER's lead singer Robert Patrick, and thanks to the ol' reliable internet file-sharing devil, we snagged up this disc about a month before its intended release date. I have to say, even in bootlegged MP3 form, Amalgamut, Filter's latest offering, friggin' rocks.
The first single, "Where Do we Go From Here" is currently all over radio and MTV, and revisits the success the band had with "Take a Picture". However, I'm partial to the first track on the disc, "You Walk Away", a song that has a riff so crunchy, you can't help but want to punch someone in the face when you hear it.
If the final version of this disc is anything like what I've got (only louder, I'm assuming), then Filter's got another smash on their hands.
