TRIBE

When Gorilla first hear that orginal guitarist, and one of main songwriters, Christ DeGarmo, was going to be writing songs on new QUEENSRŸCHE disc, everyone in the room make pee-pee on floor. Ok fine, it was just Gorilla....but it was A LOT of pee.

Gorilla first like QUEENSRŸCHE when Operation Mindcrime and hear "Eyes of a Stranger". Gorilla LOVE that song, because whenever Gorilla see the Eyes of a Stranger, Gorilla get scared, then angry, then Gorilla usually injure and/or maim stanger...usually by beating stranger to death with own legs.

Then, Gorilla enjoy Empire, because band write some of their best material on that disc, and "Silent Lucidity" is Gorilla's favorite lullaby song. What? You think Gorilla having lullaby song is funny? Come few steps closer and giggle, funny man. Hmmph, Gorilla thought so. Shut fuck up, and let Gorilla finish story.

Next album, Promised Land, takes band in slightly different direction. Queensryche make Gorilla cry with "Bridge", because it make Gorilla think of father. Gorilla cry when that song comes on. You laughing again, buddy? Gorilla getting angry, fella. You be smart white man to stop laughing at Gorilla.

Queensryche have a rough few albums after that. Not crazy about Hear in the Now Frontier or Q2K (Gorilla throw poo all over that one)...

The band comes back to Gorilla with Tribe, and they say they brought back Chris DeGarmo to help them make happy music. So far, Gorilla not hearing too much of the old Queensryche. Some songs bring back memory of old Queensryche. "Rhythm of Hope" sounds like old band that make Gorilla feet tap happy. Title track "Tribe" is a song that reminds Gorilla of home, because it starts with a lot of jungle-like drums...and that makes Gorilla smile...and pick nose.

Gorilla will sit with this one for a few more days. Wipe it with boogers. Maybe Tribe will grow on Gorilla...not like rash that grew on Gorilla's fanny when Gorilla sit in poison ivy...oh wait...Gorilla give too much information.
