DEAD SOUL TRIBE is a relatively unknown band, but hopefully that may change soon. I have not been this impressed with a CD in some months and this is some of the most original sounding rock I've heard in years. Imagine TOOL meeting up with JETHRO TULL and then mixing QUEENSRYCHE and LED ZEPPELIN into the pot. That is pretty much what you get upon listening to the opening two tracks of this masterpiece 'Feed' Part 1 & 2. The production is flawless and each song mixes strong dynamics, amazing vocal harmonies, tight interplay and most importantly, epic songs. Not the type of Dungeon's and Dragon's crap you hear in the recent Euro-metal bands, but darker, more serious, almost progressive with a brooding edge.
This is not
happy music folks, but rather, a dark look into the abyss. The mastermind and overall musician of this project is Devon Graves (must be the name - Devin Townsend is GOD!!!) who handles almost ALL of the instruments and vocals and wrote every single note on this disc. I highly recommend this disc to those who simply want something different and something inspiring. Rarely do I gush, but this one opened the flood gates.
