truANT
If the first thing you see of the new ALIENT FARM DISC,
truANT is their video for first single, "These Days", then you probably are beaming enough to buy the disc. If you didn't see it... well, here it is in a nutshell: You see, they crashed the BET awards to play the songs on the roof of one of the surrounding buildings. They managed to get through the song, but were arrested at the scene. Bravo, kids.
The first track, "1000 Days" (at least the intro) sounds like these guys are tip of the hat to their producers, Dean and Robert DeLeo, of STONE TEMPLE PILOTS fame. It's gritty, melodic, and would make for a good single.
If there's one thing these guys do consistently on this disc, is show off their musical ability. Rock, swing, and even Latin on the very melodic "Tia Lupe"; the Alien Ant Farm guys want us to know that they can play AND write, and do it without the assistance of a hundred other clone bands.
