WE WISH YOU A HAIRY CHRISTMAS
Hoo boy! It's a teased-up, spandex-wearin', butt-rockin' Christmas...and...uhh... did we really need this? I dunno. This obviously ain't gonna be a gazillion-seller, but fans of the wind-blown Aqua Net stylings of WARRANT, DANGER DANGER, LA GUNS, and all those bands who had more hair and more make-up than your sister's best friend (you know, the one with the big boobs who you tried to feel up when she was passed out?... well, if you're like me you did)
Just check out this track listing:
1. Father Christmas - Warrant
2. Naughty Naught Christmas - Danger Danger
3. Happy Holiday - Enuff Z' Nuff
4. Run Rudolph Run - L.A. Guns
5. Everyday Should Be Like Christmas - Bullet Boys
6. Jingle Bell Rock - Tuff feat. Stevie Rachelle
7. Won't Be Home for Xmas - Every Mother's Nightmare
8. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus - Gilby Clarke
9. Happy Family - Pretty Boy Floyd
10. Santa's Back in Town - Roxx Gang
11. Silent Night - Faster Pussycat feat. Taime Down
The Warrant track is ok; typical Christmas-y intro followed by Jani screaming in his usual sea frog fashion. If you have kids, you might have heard the Danger Danger track in
Santa Clause 2, which if they were smart about the publishing, they might have made a nice chunk of change with it.
Stevie Rachelle's vocals The TUFF version of "Jingle Bell Rock" is passable, but the rest of the disc is relatively easy-to-flush. The BULLETBOYS and EVERY MOTHERS NIGHTMARE tracks could have easily been on any other Perris Records disc...
Ehhh, if you have a choice between this disc and a cheap-ass bottle of whiskey, I'd recommend buying the booze, getting hammered, and singing the Christmas songs yourelf.
