What do you gets when you puts together guys from three fellas who cut their teeth with other hard rock acts, and came up during a time when no one is spending money on music, and then mix in a frontman from another band who's lookin' to sign acts to his new company? You get LO-PRO.
OK, so let me see if I got this right. We got my boys Pete Murray amd Neil Godfrey from ULTRASPANK, Tommy Stewart from GODSMACK, and Jon Fahnestock from SNOT. Add one more guitar playin' dude, Pete Ricci...and insert Aaron Lewis from STAIND, who is lookin to bring acts to his new 413 Records label. Sounds confusing? No shit. I'm barely halfway through a bottle of rum, and I'm having a hard enough time typing... forget about figgerin' out this shit.
One listen to songs like "Sunday", "Oblivion", and "Reach", and you can tell why my boy Aaron digs these boys. The vocals sound all Staind-y (wait, that ain't a word... fuck it). Aaron Lewis-meets-Roland Orzabal from TEARS FOR FEARS, really...but don't tell the bitches on Sunset I said that, cuz thems gonna think I ain't manly if I say I like the Tears for Fears. Just check out "Ignition" though...then tell me you ain't thinking about the credits from Dennis Miller's HBO show.
"Sunday" has a good shot at makin' some waves at radio. Radio is what sells records. Fuck MTV. Thems too busy videotapin' Jessica Simpson to pay attention to MUSIC.
Even though the members is from Ultraspank and Godsmack and Snot, the music don't sound like that. There's no driving riffs that make you want to kick the mailman's ass... just moody, melodic tunes that make you want to get stoned, drunk, and beat off in front of the mirror. Well, that's what I'm gonna go do. You do whatever makes you feel good.
