THE SECOND GREAT AWAKENING

I will keep this short and to the point. I am addicted to this band!!! I haven't heard something this cool in new music (prog/metal/shred aside) in ages. FINALLY, A BAND THAT KNOWS HOW TO WRITE REAL HOOKS!!!!!!

Every track on this disc is fantastic. If you love old school BLACK SABBATH, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, KYUSS and MONSTER MAGNET, you will simply drool over this disc, and over the two absolutely LUSCIOUS babes in the band. Lead Singer and guitarist Rev. James A. Rota II sounds like a young OZZY meets Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde on vocals and his guitar chops aren't too shabby either. Guitarist Emily J. Burton kicks ass and is about 6ft tall, blond and downright F-U-N. Janis Tanaka on bass and vocals is terrific, providing some great backing harmonies, while John Oreshnick pounds the skins like a man looking for bare-nuckle boxing match to participate in.

Standout tracks 'Master of None' (I DARE YOU TO TRY AND NOT HUM/SING THIS TUNE AFTER YOU HEAR IT - IT'S INFECTIVE), 'Daughter of the Damned' and 'Flatline' simply crush. The riffing on this disc is old school METAL (horns up folks!!!!!) and I am pleased as hell to see such a band exists.

Granted the image is part biker rock, stoner rock and Scooby Doo (the artwork is downright hilerious), this band is the saving grace of rock-and-roll. PERIOD!!!! Now bow and worship at the altar of Fireball Ministry.
(blech... 'Bow at the Altar'? Marc, come ON... The CD fucking rocks though - SC)
