INTO THE NOW
Hoo boy! You know, when the boss gave that
big furry fugger the TESLA single to listen to, I was feelin' a bit bummed, so I started drinkin'...and drinkin'...and drinkin'... you know, cuz Tesla is my boys. I was the one who said "dudes you know you should check out this great song called 'Signs'... I think youze should cover it"... and thems got all big shit and all off that song.
So I'm sleepin' the boss's couch and he walks in and tosses this promo copy of
Into the Now on my chest while I'm sleepin' and he tells me to get my fuggin' hanged-over ass up and listen. So I'm happy and all.
My Tesla boys really worked their asses off on this CD, boy.
Into the Now sounds like Tesla...100%. Thems not trying to be somethin' they ain't. Thems ain't playin' punk. Thems ain't samplin'... Tommy and Frank got some new guitar toys it sounds like, but the riffage and lyrics sound like Tesla. This'll be a badass record to play live, lemme tells you.
"Into The Now" is the first track on the disc, and boy... that'll kick the hanged-over right outta ya. "What A Shame" shows off my boy Jeff Keith's raspy voice. That fugger still got it, boy. The first single is "Caught up in a Dream" and it sounds like they re-did "Love Song" for 2004....slide guitars, acoustic guitars and hooky goodness. I hate to says it, but I think "Mighty Mouse" is one of the BEST songs on this fugger... hookiest song on the thing, if you asks my ass. "Got No Glory" has the best openin' riffage I heard in a long-ass time. Too bad theys buried in the middle of the fuggin' disc.
I always got bummed out because I thought my boys got a unfair labelin' as a 'hair band'...them's not a hair band...them's just a ballsy rock-n-rollin' bunch o' mawfuggers and
Into the Now shows that with every single fuggin' song.
