Hoo boy, and I wuz thinkin' I had a lotta tattoos. JOSH TODD has so much ink in his ass, I betcha he pees rainbow. Ever since he
bailed on BUCKCHERRY when the second disc tanked, and started showin' up in Movies (The Salton Sea, The New Guy, The Banger Sisters), I wuz wonderin' if he wuz doneski with the whole music thing.
Nope. He ain't done.
He's got a new band, and a new pile of songs for
You Made Me, and if there wuz any question 'bout WHO wuz doin' the writin' for Buckcherry records, boy... we now know it was my boy Josh.
You Made Me sounds like it coulda been a Buckcherry record, boy.
I sees Josh hangin' around the strip sometimes, and his raspy-cocaine-voice is instantly recugnize-able when youze walkin' past the Whiskey... I think my boy Josh is pissed off that Buckcherry took a dump and now there's this metal surge happenin' with bands like THE DARKNESS and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE... so he's gonna try and cash in on the new wave of bands that's makin' the green. I'm thinkin' he's got to spend a little more time writin' the songs so they don't sound so 'cherry-ish... there is some gold on
You Made Me though... "Shine" is a great track and "Mind Infection" makes me wanna go hit some fugger who owes me some money. There's too many ballads. I dunno...maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think Josh's voice is great on the slower stuff.
Boy's got some badass tats though, that's fer damn sure, boy.
